Reviewing and optimizing performance is important for ensuring campaign success, as it allows for identifying strengths and weaknesses in your campaign to make necessary adjustments. Continuous monitoring and refining strategies based on performance data help campaigns achieve their goals more effectively.
Accessing Analytics
FrontFundr offers three main analytical dashboards available: Investment Dashboard, Campaign Analytics, and Investor List. The dashboards will be available the moment your campaign has launched, allowing you to track and analyze investor activity in real time. All of these reports can be accessed by first logging into your FrontFundr Issuer Portal account:
- Click “Dashboard” to access investor analytics.
- Click “Campaign Analytics” to access data on how your page is performing.
- Click “Investor List” to view the status of each investor.
1. Investment Dashboard
Your investment data dashboard will be available the moment your campaign has launched, allowing you to track and analyze investor activity in real time.
Campaign Health
- Total Investments: This the sum of investments in the “Documents” and “Complete” steps, showcasing the investments we have received payment for. We recommend aiming to have reached at least 20% of your target raise within the first two weeks of the campaign.
- Available to Close: This is amount of funds that are completed and ready to closed on by you as the issuer. The estimated closing is the amount available to close less the estimated trade fees and closing services. The closing fees and services are based on a blended average and may not be applicable for your campaign. The true amount available for closing less the applicable fees will be provided to you ahead of the time of closing.
- Funding Goal: This is the amount of capital you aim to raise internally for benchmarking purposes. While the Target Raise is what will be displayed externally on your campaign page. These two numbers can be different. Often the Funding Goal is higher than the Target Raise so companies can oversubscribe the round for marketing purposes.
- Funding Progress: Funding progress is calculated as Total Investment ÷ Funding Goal and displayed as a percentage.
- Total Investments: This is the number of completed investments. Unique investors means that each investor is counted only once, regardless of the number of investments they have made meaning the number of investments may be higher than the number of unique investors.
2. Campaign Analytics Dashboard
Our campaign analytics provide you with standard website engagement analytics related to traffic on your raise URL. All of the data in the page analytics section are sourced through Google Analytics.
Summary Statistics
- Page Views: This is how many times people look at your campaign page tracked weekly and overall. Monitoring page views week over week helps you understand the trend in viewer engagement and can indicate whether your marketing efforts are effective in driving traffic to your page. We typically see that an average performing campaign has at least 150-300 page views per day. Some of our record-breaking campaigns can have over 5,000 page views per day. If you are below 150 page views per day, consider implementing new promotional strategies to reach more investors more consistently. Paid advertising helps drive increased traffic on a daily basis.
- Conversion Rate: Is calculated as: Total Completed Investments / Total Page Views. You can assess how successful your campaign is at persuading potential investors to take action. At the end of the campaign, a good conversion rate percentage is about 1.0% of page views to completed investments. While you're reaching out to your network at the beginning of the campaign the conversion rate could be greater than 3.0%. We find that the rate begins to lower as you target new markets of investors who are less familiar with the company.
- Bounce Rate: The percentage of visitors who leave your campaign page without performing an action. A high bounce rate may indicate that visitors are not finding what they expected or that your page content is not engaging enough. We find that an average bounce rate for a campaign is about 50%. If you find the bounce rate to be considerably higher than 50%, you should consider adjusting your campaign targeting. Perhaps you are running ads and they are not reaching the right investor profile.
- Avg. Session Duration: The average time people spend on your campaign page. It provides insight into the level of interest and engagement with your content. We recommend an average time on page of 6-7 minutes. Campaigns closer to 3-4 minutes may not be providing enough details for investors or the campaign messaging may not align with the promotions their running or the target investors they’re reaching out to. If a campaign is closer to 10-14 minutes, they may be providing too much content to investors and the pitch is not clear. This metric can be used as a barometer for whether the campaign messaging is resonating with your investor profiles.
3. Investor List Dashboard
The Investor List Dashboard provides comprehensive insights into the status of your investors.
Investment Statuses
- Onboarding: The investor is filling out our KYC (Know Your Customer) questions.
- Payment: The investor has entered the payment stage and has not yet submitted their payment.
