Throughout your campaign, your marketing efforts through social media engagement, FrontFundr updates, email marketing, as well as any outreach promoting your raise will likely have potential investors interested in learning more. To engage with these investors, we recommend having at least two Zoom Q&A Webinars throughout your raise, one towards the launch of your campaign to answer any initial questions, and one near the closing of the campaign as a town hall style event.
Share Across your Channels 📢
To ensure a good turnout for your Zoom Q&A, be sure to share this event across different platforms such as your social media, mailing lists, LinkedIn direct messages to warm leads, and a FrontFundr update to your followers and investors. Sharing your Zoom sign-up link will allow you to capture emails and gauge interest in this event.
Tip: Encourage individuals to sign up even if they aren’t certain they will be able to make the time. This way you can capture their emails and send them a recording of the event after the fact.
Prepare Ahead of the Call ✍🏻
A great step to take is to invite registrants to submit their questions in advance to not only be prepared for these questions but to ensure that the time during the Q&A is efficient and isn’t filled with pauses. That being said, make sure you anticipate questions being asked during the live Q&A and that members of your team come prepared. This can also allow you to adjust for time, if a lot of questions are coming in, you might want to extend the event by a half-hour, and changing this ahead of time can allow for participants to accommodate.
One element investors might look for is how prepared your company is. This would include your video and audio quality, and the professionalism of your team. It’s also incredibly important to have a pitch deck prepared with backup slides prepared for questions.
Engage and Put your Best Foot Forward 👟
When it comes time for the event, it’s important to engage with investors and create an inviting environment. Allow for follow-up questions from investors and be confident in your answers to inspire the same sort of confidence from potential investors. Be sure to follow up after the event with a recording (you can even repurpose this content on other channels!) and a final call to action to invest.
